Matthew’s Approach
I specialize in helping clients navigate perfectionism, religious trauma, sexual concerns, and the impact of deeply held self-narratives. As a queer therapist, I provide an affirming space for LGBTQ+ clients and those in diverse relationships to explore identity, intimacy, and healing. My approach is collaborative and grounded in compassion, focusing on self-understanding and intentional self-compassion as pathways to growth.
ABOUT Matthew
Intimacy and sexuality are often the places where trauma leaves its deepest mark. You may find yourself struggling with desire, performance, shame, or disconnection in relationships. For some, this shows up as avoidance; for others, it may look like compulsive patterns that bring guilt or distance. These struggles can feel isolating, but they don’t have to define you.
I specialize in integrating sex therapy and EMDR to address both the impact of trauma and complex PTSD and the unique challenges of sexual identity, intimacy, and connection. Together we’ll build safety, process trauma, and explore new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I provide an affirming, nonjudgmental space for LGBTQ+, non-monogamous, and kink communities, as well as anyone carrying the weight of religious or cultural shame. Whether your starting point is trauma, intimacy concerns, or both, I’ll support you in reclaiming your voice, your body, and your relationships.
